What did I make?
“BIG BRTHR” is a secure messaging application.
“Your Big Brother, looking out for you and your messages”
Attempt #3 was my final attempt. I can’t lie, I was a little bit worried about starting again at such a late stage in the process, but there is a certain level of freedom attached to it.
The main challenge with this application was the onboarding process…Specifically, how illustrations can ease users into the functions of a product and prepare them for use of it.
I started from the beginning again with some wireframes and planned out how each screen would work. I worked on simplifying the design of the logo and interface while adhering to WebAim Accessibility using their colour contrast tool.
Using standard sign-up/sign-in patterns (nothing fancy), I had a look at some of my favourite apps that feature illustrations in their onboarding process. Shout out to Mobbin! Fantastic resource.
