Seeing as we are fast approaching the halfway point of 2018, I think it’s time for me to check in and fill you all in on what I’ve been up to and what’s on the horizon for Ryadraws.
In no particular order, here’s what I’ve been up to in the last few months:
A little while ago, I had the pleasure of being one of the lucky artists featured in Yellowzine, a print publication that celebrates visual artwork by UK-based minority ethnic artists.
The founders of Yellowzine are now hosting a live session at the House of Illustration and I’ve been invited to talk about my work featured in the magazine. The first issue focused on illustration and will be available to purchase again on the night.
Come along and show support.
When: Thursday 5th July at 7pm

The Anti Trump Art Show
I submitted work for Creative Debuts anti-Trump art show which will be taking place on Thursday 12 July, the day before Trump’s unwelcome visit to London.
So of course, I was really excited to find out that my work had been selected for this exhibit.
Whatever you do, keep that Thursday evening free and come check out some awesome work depicting Donald Trump from talented folks like myself.

Thamesmead’s 50th Exhibition
I’ll be taking part in the 50 years of Thamesmead Exhibition, celebrating 50 years of...Thamesmead! Catch me showcasing some large-scale work.
When: Saturday 7 July, 6-8pm
I’ve also been doing some illustration work for an exciting children’s book. This project is still on-going but I’m looking forward to sharing the book once it’s complete. I’ll keep you all posted.
I also have one more project to share but I'll save that for another post. Watch this space.
Until next time,
