“It’s at an early stage that things go wrong in a child’s upbringing that can change their course for the future…Be very careful with this time”
From time to time I'll drop a nude...
This is a phrase I am far too familiar with but hardly adhere to.
Normally when I start a new piece of artwork the idea is simple, let's draw a cat. Somewhere between the inception and the finished piece a lot changes. A lot of ideas pop into my head that I think would be really cool!
It starts off like this…I’m going to draw a cat (nice and simple). I then I throw in another element. Riding a naked human wearing boots. Then another. With a mask on with a matching Adrinka symbol. (This actually sounds like a cool idea).
From the above sentence you can understand what I mean.
I think my inner artist feels as if multifaceted artwork means its better, hidden gems in the painting that take years to decipher.
The other reason being my tutor... Who said "don't assume your audience is stupid, don't dumb anything down for them. They will feel a sense of achievement when they work it out"
This I have tried to do but sometimes, not all the time...Less is more. Which brings me to my latest artwork.
The idea was simple, draw an iron maiden torture chamber (Thanks Shamam King)
Below, you can find the stages of my process and my weird back and forth thought process...
Until next time.

While I am in the process of creating more work I will be blogging more to make up for the silence.
