“It’s at an early stage that things go wrong in a child’s upbringing that can change their course for the future…Be very careful with this time”
I am all grown up now, Organising my own exhibition. I am creating a platform for dialogue to directly interact with viewers of my artwork.
The focus and theme of TFB is social commentary and the state of the world as it stands from my point of view. In this exhibition, I share pieces of work that range from social narratives to politically motivated conceptual art representing the social upheaval in our contemporary world. I also dip into childhood memories to inform pieces and share my vision of the world. TFB will involve pieces that will stimulate a critical discussion about social issues and encourages viewers to think about what their future will look like. The work will not tell viewers what to think but it will simply ask them to.
Thamesmead has been home for many years. I have made the decision to exhibit my work here by teaming up with the local community hub, hoping to inspire local students and residents along the way and give back to my community.
I welcome all viewers to bring their own experiences and understanding to the exhibition and most importantly, participate. I am keen to hear opinions, comments and feedback.
See you there.
